Adding a Review Comment to a Plan of Care in AuthorSpace

A comment refers to any feedback or questions posted to a reviewable plan of care. A comment may relate to the entire plan of care or to a single item within the plan of care. A comment may have responses added to it by the plan of care author or reviewers. AuthorSpace users initiating the review may also use the comments functionality to post questions to their reviewers.

Linkable content appears collapsed in Review mode. Click View Linked Content to expand the content in a separate Content Viewer window. Users will have the ability to comment on the linkable content as a whole but not on individual items. Comments on individual items within the linkable content can be made at the time the linkable content is reviewed.

To add a comment, complete the following steps:

  1. In the content list, select a plan of care with a Review status and then click the Review link.
    The Content Reviewer opens and is divided into 3 panes. The left pane displays the proposed content for the plan of care, and the right pane displays 2 feedback panes. The top feedback pane is the Item Comments pane, and it displays an area for review comments that apply to a specific item. The bottom feedback pane is the General Feedback pane, and it displays an area for general review comments that apply to the entire plan of care. Use scroll bars in each pane to view all the information. Click the gray divider line between the panes and drag the line either up or down to resize any of the panes.
    When you click on linkable content to comment on it, the top feedback pane is called the Linkable Comments pane, instead of Item Comments.
  2. To post a comment about a single order item, select the order item in the left-hand pane. Click the Start New Topic link in the Item Comments pane to open the New Comment dialog box. The dialog box identifies the plan of care and order item that the comment relates to.
    To post a general comment that applies to the entire plan of care, click the Start New Topic link in the General Feedback pane to open the New Comment dialog box.
  3. Complete the fields in the New Comments dialog box and click Save.
  4. Click the X in the upper right-hand corner to close the Content Reviewer.

You can edit/inactivate a comment from the Content Reviewer in AuthorSpace. (This functionality is not available in ViewSpace.) See Initiating/Requesting a Review for a Plan of Care in the Content Manager.
