Environment administrators set up and maintain application users, user permissions, teams, and team access privileges. Administrators will not be able to see the passwords of users within their environment, but will be able to unlock accounts and reset passwords.
Administrators should contact a client services representative if they need assistance adding users to their account.
Users should take the following into consideration when logging in to AuthorSpace.
Passwords must contain at least one of each of the following:
Passwords cannot contain any of the following words:
Passwords expire every 90 days and are encrypted.
After 3 unsuccessful login attempts, accounts will be locked. To unlock the account, users can click the appropriate link from the login page.
Users can reset their own passwords by clicking the appropriate link from the login page to request a temporary password. Users are required to change the temporary password the next time they log in.
Autologin, which uses IP address authentication, is supported. However, deep linking, which embeds the username and password within the URL, poses a security risk and is not supported.
Please contact your client services representative if you would like to configure your account for autologin.
