Managing Vocabularies

Only local vocabularies can be managed.

You can update existing external vocabularies. To modify the name, description, or notes for a vocabulary, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vocabulary Manager Home screen, click any hyperlinked Vocabulary Name to go to the Vocabulary Details screen for the selected vocabulary.
  2. Click the Manage Vocab link on the Vocabulary Details screen to open the Manage Local Vocabulary screen.
  3. Modify the vocabulary name in the Vocabulary Name text box.
  4. If the vocabulary was imported with its own external IDs, select the Has IDs check box. If vocabulary was not imported with external IDs, clear the Has IDs check box. The Has IDs check box is enabled by default.
  5. In the Description text box, type a description of the vocabulary name.
  6. In the Environment Specific Notes box, add or modify notes that are specific to using the vocabulary within your environment.
  7. In the General Notes box, add or modify any applicable notes.
  8. Click the Save button to modify your vocabulary.
