Released plans of care have
version numbers. Version numbers are assigned in the following manner:
If you click the New link in the AuthorSpace main screen to
create and then release a plan of care, that released plan of care will
be assigned version 1.
If you select a released/retired
plan of care to edit, a draft of that plan of care is created for you
to edit. Once you release that edited plan of care, the version number
increments by one. The line of versioning continues because a revised
draft of the plan of care has been released. For example, if you edit
version 1 of the Anticipatory Grieving plan of care and then release
it, the released plan of care is assigned version number 2.
If you create a duplicate
of a released/retired plan of care, a new instance of the plan of care
is created for you to edit. Once you release that new instance of the
plan of care, it is released as version 1. The line of versioning starts
over because a new instance of the plan of care has been released. For
example, if you create a duplicate of version 1 of the Anticipatory Grieving
plan of care and then release it, the released plan of care is assigned
version number 1.
