Workspaces Tab

Click the Workspaces tab to display all the workspaces for the environment. This tab allows you to do the following:

A workspace is a collection of data fields (called WDFs, or workspace-defined fields) that, when concatenated in a specific sequence, can comprise a fully specified order sentence (eg, the Medication workspace contains fields that capture dose, route, and frequency).

Order sentences may need to be displayed in a certain way for your paper order sets or vendor CPOE. Zynx offers configurable workspaces to give you flexibility in displaying order sentences. With configurable workspace functionality, you can create or modify workspaces by controlling the fields that appear and the order in which they appear. You can even create new fields (or WDFs) to add to your workspaces.

This customization allows you to track information specific to your environment and minimizes the amount of time it takes to localize an order set for your environment’s paper order sets or vendor CPOE.

All configurable workspaces for an environment are based on existing Zynx Medication workspaces or Zynx non-medication workspaces. Users can assign (map) workspaces to individual terms, such as penicillin, or to an entire term type, such as medications. When users add an item in the Content Editor, the associated configurable workspace is displayed to the user for editing. Newly created workspaces are available to mapped terms in checked-in customized content that has not been released or retired.

NOTE

Administrators can view and navigate all screens in the Environment Manager.

The screens that non-administrator users are able to view and navigate depend on assigned permissions.
