Environment members are assigned to teams, and security permissions are assigned to members within the teams. Teams are then assigned to a piece of content. This is known as content-level security.
The permissions assigned to the member within the team define the member’s permission for the content.
With content-level security, only one team can be assigned to a piece of content. Content-level permission is assigned in the Content Manager, under the Edit Header functionality. Only checked-in content can be assigned teams. If a user creating new content is a member of the base team, the new content is assigned to the base team by default. If a user creating new content is not a member of the base team, the new content is assigned to the team in which the user has modify permission.
