Searching for a Task in the Work Queue
Users may search for a task
in the Work Queue. If the user performing the search is not an administrator,
the user must be either the requester or assignee, or the user’s
name must appear in the CC list. The search feature enables administrators
to view all tasks for all users.
To search for a task in the
Work Queue, complete the following steps:
- Click My Dashboard from the Main
Menu on the AuthorSpace main screen.
- Click Work Queue from the My Dashboard pane.
- Click
the Search button at the top of the
screen.
- Specify the following
parameters and click Perform Search.
- Subject
- Assigned To
- Content Object
- Requested By
- Priority
- Due Date
- Status
- Create Date
- Results are displayed for
all tasks that match the search criteria in a table.
- Double-click a
task from the search results to open the task. If the user is a requester,
administrator, or assignee, the user may edit the task. See Viewing/Editing
a Task in the My Dashboard Work Queue. If the user is in the
CC list, the user cannot edit the task. He can only view the task in
read-only mode.
