Vocabulary Manager Home Screen

Click Control Panel on the AuthorSpace main screen and then click Vocabularies to open the Vocabulary Manager Home screen.

The Vocabulary Manager Home screen lists information about the external vocabularies that are available for the environment. For information on adding vocabularies so that they are available for an environment on the Vocabulary Manager Home screen, see Adding Local Vocabularies.

The Vocabulary Manager Home screen provides the following information:

• Vocabulary Name: The name of the external vocabulary, such as SNOMED.
• Type: The type of external vocabulary, such as standard vocabulary, vendor, or local vocabulary.
• Term Types: The types of vocabulary terms provided by the external vocabulary.

From the Vocabulary Manager Home screen, you can perform the following functions:

• Add Local Vocab/Add Vendor Vocab: Click these links to add new external vocabularies.
• Manage Aliases: The manage alias functionality allows you to use existing local vocabularies to override Zynx terms in content that appears in AuthorSpace as well as in content that is printed/exported. See Managing Aliases.
• View external vocabulary details: Click any available Vocabulary Name that is shown as a hyperlink to go to the Vocabulary Details screen to view details for that vocabulary as well as access additional functionality.
